There’s been a flurry of aircraft-related news from the integrators’ corner of the airfreight industry in the last few days and, not to be left out, DHL Express said that it has taken delivery of the first A330-300 Passenger-to-Freighter (P2F) converted aircraft from Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW). DHL Express is the first A330-300 P2F customer.
The news came on the heels of DHL’s announcement that it was chartering twice-weekly, round-the-world 747 freighters to provide capacity between Asia, the Americas and Europe during the current peak season. DHL Express said that the A330-300 P2F aircraft will be operated across its Asia-Pacific air network.
With already high demand for space on freighters and in belly holds set to climb this month, DHL says that it is “committed to strengthening our global network and services.”
