…Shop the U.S from Nigeria with Naira and Shop2Me pays, gets the goods and brings to you in Nigeria.
Shop2Me, an online shopping and delivery service has been launched by Moov Africa, a fledging logistics services provider. The platform which has been on for a while was formally flagged off in Lagos at the Anthony Village Lagos headquarters of Moov Africa Wednesday.
Speaking at the occasion, the Executive Chairman of Moov Africa, Mr. Larry Chinekezi, commended the efforts of his tech team in putting together a robust shopping system. He promised users of Shop2Me that it is a much cheaper alternative to travelling to make purchases in the USA.
“You will find Shop2Me to be the cheapest errand service that can save you a lot of dollars,” Mr. Chinekezi said.
Shop2Me gives Nigerian shoppers the platform to purchase goods from their favourite U.S online shopping sites and stores from the comfort of their homes or offices in Nigeria and pay in the local currency, the Naira.
Users have the added benefits of paying the actual prices of goods and getting the items delivered to them at their homes or business addresses.
Sales and Marketing Specialist of Moov Africa, Casandra Aniemeke, told MLN that it takes an average of seven days to deliver goods in Nigeria from the time of purchase and pickup in the U.S.
How would users access the service on the go, she was asked.
“All the shoppers need to do to is to log on to www.moovafrica.com/shop2me and complete a simple Order Form,” she explained.
Asked what is in it for the cargo delivery company, Aniemeke said the shoppers pay Shop2Me for airfreight and delivery. She further disclosed that a shopper is at liberty to order any legitimate goods and articles, no matter the weight, and Shop2Me will purchase and send it down to Nigeria for delivery.
