The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has listed only six agencies approved to interface with passengers at the country’s airports henceforth. In a “Public Notice” issued, FAAN informed airlines, passengers and the general public of the new development.
The Public Notice reads: “The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria hereby serves notice to Airlines, passengers and the general public that in compliance with the provisions of the Executive Order recently approved by the Presidency, Only the under-listed security agencies have been given approval to interface with passengers at our Terminal.”
The agencies are: Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS), The Nigeria Customs Services (NCS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), State Security Services (SSS), Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit, (EOD) and Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine services (NAQS).
