Work commences at Ilorin Int’l airport

Ilorin, Nigeria. Renovation and upgrading of facilities have commenced at the Ilorin International Airport, in the Kwara State capital. The renovation, which is being executed by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria  (FAAN) affects every part of the airport.

Some of the projects being renovated are the FAAN Administrative block, roofing of the entire Hajj screening centre and installation of overhead reservoir water tanks at various locations at the airport.

Others areas include installation of lights on different passages at the airport, replacement of worn out air conditioners and other electrical gadgets to provide better illumination

There is also construction of new baggage equipment at the arrival and departure halls of the terminal building and reorganization of the commercial airlines’ stands with new facilities.

The Airport Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul-Azeez, while speaking with our correspondent at the airport said the renovation of facilities was a directive from the aviation ministry.
