Heavy downpour in some parts of Dar es Salaam has caused serious problems to transportation systems, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded.
Spot checks by MCL Digital along Kilwa Road has witnessed many commuters stuck in many bus stops, with rain still pounding.
The situation was worse at Mbagala area when once a commuter bus arrived a battle to get inside started.
“This has become a chronic problem. I am here since 6 am and many busses just pass because they are full. I don’t know how I am going to get to my workplace with this rain,” lamented one of the stranded passengers.
Vehicles were also moving with problem along the Kilwa Road, resulting in long queues.
