-Four passengers are also able to transform their seats to form a private area, complete with TV screens

Qatar Airways has launched the first-ever double bed within the business class. The Qsuite allows passengers to recline two middle seats into a fully flat bed and features partition panels to create a private bedroom with two entertainment screens inside.

In addition, up to four passengers traveling together are also able to transform their seats to form a private area, so families, friends or colleagues can dine, socialize and work in a group.

The carrier’s senior vice president for Europe, Jonathan Harding, described the Qsuite cabins as a ‘first class product in business class’.

He told the Press Association: ‘It’s a revolutionary, brand new, game-changing product which we are going to roll out across our business class fleet, raising the business class experience to a new level.

We have the first double bed in the sky so people traveling together are able to avail themselves of that. ‘If you’re traveling by yourself you get privacy, particularly in one of our window seats, but our quads can be configured in a way that is very flexible and comfortable.’
