Ogun State Government Advised to build standard bus stops

Nigeria, Ogun State Government has been advised by the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) to erect standard bus stops across the state to curb indiscriminate parking by operators of commercial Vehicles which causes traffic and at such resulting in delays in deliveries by delivery companies.

The Sango-Ota Unit Commander of  (FRSC) Mr. Adekunle Oguntoyinbo, had made a call to the state government on the urgent need of the standard bus-stops so as to prevent operators of commercial buses from parking on the highways to pick passengers and as well creating an easy flow of movement.

Complaining of how Indiscriminate parking had resulted in crashes as well as loss of lives and property in areas like  Joju, Owode and Ijako Oju-Ore. ”We have lost innocent people in these accident-prone areas who could have contributed to national development while some have been confined to wheel chairs, ” These areas were prone to crashes because of pot-holes and sloppy nature. He advised the state government to take a cue from its counter part Lagos State Government on the BRT standard bus-stops that were constructed across Lagos state.
