Video Female FRSC Officer Caught on Camera Dragging Moving Car Steering With the Driver, Another Smashes Windscreen

A female Federal Road Safety (FRSC) Official was alleged to have been caught on camera struggling for the control of a moving car with the driver of the vehicle Wednesday, July 12, 2017. The alleged incident which has gone viral on social media since the report broke was said to have resulted from a motor traffic offence.  One account said it happened in Abuja but other conflicting reports claimed it happened in Lagos. The FRSC has yet to confirm the incident.

The said female road marshall was seen a couple of times in the video stretching from the back seat of the moving vehicle and wrestling to take control of the gear lever from the driver. The 1.21 video footage ends when a male road safety officer alighted from one of the corps’ vans and breaks the front passenger side window of the vehicle.
There have been previous cases of road marshalls and officers of other security agencies going physical on motorists. Those who commented on the incidents called on the relevant authorities need to improve the training of their officers. Some of the two of the incidents reported on national television networks tend to support this public outcry
