Jet Airways, Air France-KLM deepen relationship

Air France-KLM and Jet Airways Cargo are expanding their current partnership with the signing of a new memorandum of understanding (MoU), under which the carriers will aim to link their routes between India and Europe and integrate their commercial and cargo operations on the routes.

Air France-KLM and Indian airline Jet Airways have had a code-sharing agreement in place since 2014 for connections between Europe and North America; between Jet Airways’ Mumbai and Delhi hubs; and between Air France-KLM’s Paris and Amsterdam hubs.

The new MoU is intended to help the airlines further align their respective cargo networks, increase warehousing efficiency and make block-space agreements.

The airlines also intend to develop new products and services for their cargo markets under the MoU, including offerings tailored toward speciality cargo – such as pharmaceuticals, express cargo and e-commerce – as well as emerging markets in India.
