7 Ships with Petrol Cargo, Other Commodities Arrive Lagos Ports

 

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Tuesday that seven ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth.

The NPA disclosed this in its daily “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. It said that four of the vessels had petrol consignment, while the other three ships would berth with bulk coke, base oil and bulk fertiliser.

It also said that 15 other ships were currently at the ports discharging general cargoes, bulk wheat, bulk salt, frozen fish, diesel, base oil, bulk corn, bulk gas, petrol and container.

It added that 31 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between Tuesday and July 1.

“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, containers,  general cargoes, bulk gas, base oil, bulk fertiliser, empty container, crude palmolein, steel products, bulk gypsum and petrol,’’ it said.
